Inaugural Fundraiser and Friendraiser of The Permagardens Foundation

ABOUT THE EVENT: We’re delighted you’re interested in registering for our inaugural fundraising/friendraising event! There is no entrance fee, and everyone is welcome. It starts on Aug 16th at 11am with snacks, music, social connection time, and a presentation followed by a delicious locally sourced lunch. Following lunch, we’ll describe different aspects of our work including stories from the ground and our future plans, and provide spaces for you to provide feedback/ideas if desired. After that, we’d love to keep engaging with those of you who’d like to stick around to brainstorm ways you might like to be involved (including joining our board!). We’ll wrap up around 4pm.

ABOUT US: The Permagardens Foundation trains communities facing malnutrition and food scarcity the proven technique of permagardens so they can grow abundant nutritious food in small spaces at home year round even in harsh climates. We support trainers who are indigenous to their training areas (Rwanda, Kenya, India, Uganda, and expanding!), who train small groups at a time and who empower women as the leaders of these projects in each community.
Any money raised at this event goes directly towards trainings for these communities. We will use these funds to to pay our trainers adequate salaries, to help cover costs of seed banks near training sites, and most importantly to support FOLLOW-UP VISITS through which newly trained people can receive any necessary guidance on how to properly maintain their permagardens.
For us, this event is as much about making personal connections as it is about raising funds. Please bring friends, family, and acquaintances so that together we can grow this movement of motivated, compassionate global regeneration.
