Become an Advisory Council member!
Requirements:
Have significant years of experience in a particular subject/area
Be enthusiastic about mentoring our younger leaders and providing advice about your area of expertise
Can commit to 1-2 hours per week in working groups (remote & on your own schedule)
Preferably attend our monthly 2-hour Board meetings
Volunteer Opportunities
- Public education on global food sovereignty
- Internet outreach: our website, newsletter, articles/video, social media
- Work on our big decisions: policies, strategic visioning, etc
- Fundraising / Friend-raising
- Admin tasks: databases, coordinate meetings, deal with mail, legal responsibilities
- Build nonprofit skills through our membership in Joan Garry’s “Nonprofit Leadership Lab”
- Any skills you want to practice/build
- Currently most needed: bookkeeping, Treasury, finances, social media, admin
